A Colorado woman is recovering this morning after having her fetus removed from her stomach. According to CNN, the 26-year old woman, whose name has not been released, was answering an ad on craigslist for baby clothes. After arriving at the home, the woman was assaulted and stabbed by a 34-year old woman.

The woman’s could be heard so when the police arrived at the home of the suspect, they found the pregnant woman on the ground stabbed around her stomach and her fetus removed. The suspect was nowhere to be found. The woman was seven months pregnant.

The pregnant woman was rushed to the hospital where she is expected to live. The same time the soon to be mother was taken to the hospital, the suspect arrived with the baby at the same hospital and claimed she had suffered a miscarriage. The baby did not survive. The suspect, Dynel Lane, is facing charges of attempted murder, assault and child abuse.
