Hope you didn't let him watch it! Liz Hurley brings 12-year-old son Damian as date to premiere of her raunchy show The Royals

She plays a Queen in her new TV show, and Elizabeth Hurley certainly looked regal as she arrived at the UK premiere for her new drama The Royals on Tuesday night.

The 49-year-old actress stole the spotlight on the union jack carpet laid out at London's Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park hotel in the centre of London.

Liz, who plays Queen Helena in the debauched spin on the Royal family, bought her 12-year-old son Damian as her date for her big night.

The British actress left her London house in a chic furry coat earlier in the evening, keeping her show-stopping dress firmly under wraps.

But as she arrived at the premiere, her fitted frock made sure the star's golden tan and toned limbs were on full display, with the dress featuring some cut-out detail on the side.

Liz paired her racy number with some strappy gold heels and some drop earrings.

Be a lady in red with Elizabeth's one shoulder dress

She’s the star of new E! show The Royals, so it seemed fitting that Elizabeth Hurley would make a grand entrance fit for a queen at the UK premiere in her show-stopping dress.

The eternal glamour puss wowed in bodycon red dress featuring subtle sheer inserts and a one shoulder design, drawing attention to her super svelte waist as she posed on the red carpet with confidence. Now that's how you do old Hollywood glam!

A classic red dress will never go out of style and a one shoulder version such as this will be the perfect springtime frock at pretty much any occasion. Styled with nude sandals or black pointy stilettos depending on your mood, you can make this dress work for cocktail parties to your next dinner out.

Sadly, however, this dress is not available online, but you can still take inspiration from Liz's look by checking out the style edit below which includes our top one shoulder red dresses from around the web, prices starting at £19 from Asos.

The actress who turns 50 in June, shows off her incredible figure in the latest trailer, stripping down to some racy black lingerie with a man in her chamber and her pert posterior to the camera.

Damian meanwhile, who's father is American businessman Steve Bing, has big ambitions to get behind the camera according to his mum.

'Damien is thirteen next month,' the actress told This Morning on Tuesday. 'I didn’t want him to be a city kid, I wanted him to be a country kid... Last summer during his vacation from school he was on the film set and he loved every single second of it.

'He adores it. He really wants to do it… he’s not sure [whether to be in front or camera or behind] but he likes all of it.'

The actress isn't the only one stripping off in The Royals, with Elizabeth telling the Evening Standard this month that it's her onscreen children Prince Liam (William Moseley) and Princess Eleanor (Alexandra Park) who flash the most flesh.

'You see a great deal more of my children in their lingerie than you do of me, I'm happy to say. Those days are behind me,' she insists.

Alexandra's character finds herself hitting the headlines in the first episode, after going partying in a Paris nightclub and flashing her lack of underwear for the world press.

And the actress almost had a similar wardrobe malfunction on the premiere red carpet, flashing a lot of leg, and a glimpse of her underwear, in her thigh-high split gown.

E! have described their new show as 'a drama about a fictional British Royal family set in modern day London, who inhabit a world of opulence and regal tradition that caters to any and every desire, but one that also comes with a price tag of duty, destiny and intense public scrutiny.'

While the channel has already commissioned a second series, US audiences and critics haven't exactly been kind about the opening episode.

The Royals was described as ‘not a royally good time’ by The Hollywood Reporter, while another critic said  it ‘plays like an extended MTV music video’.

The Royals premieres for UK audiences on March 25 on E!
