Kelly Brook has been keeping her head held high despite the first reviews for her new US TV show One Big Happy being bad across the board.

And her confidence in the success of her show may have something to do with the British star's outfit for the second episode as well as some tongue action between her character and Elisha Cuthbert's.

In stills from the upcoming instalment of the show, the 35-year-old is seen showing off a lot of cleavage, wearing a very low-cut purple dress, and kissing both her male and female co-stars.

The swimwear model is known for her curvy figure and the costume designers have taken full advantage with a lacy, mini-dress.

It is likely that regardless of her busty display, Kelly will be hoping for better reviews for the second episode of the show.

Initial reactions to the sitcom - created by Ellen DeGeneres - were that it was 'obvious, dumb and unfunny' while critics labelled Kelly 'calamitous' and 'unconvincing.'

Time will tell: The show came out top in its time slot for the pilot but the second episode is the real test

Rotten Tomatoes gave has it sitting at a critics rating of 18%.

Though the British beauty, who made her break into TV in the UK with The Big Breakfast, at first embraced her critique, saying, 'If you have no critics, you'll likely have no success.'

Reacting on her Instagram page, Kelly wrote: 'There's a famous saying "critics are the ones that know the way, but can't drive the car" as much as we need them and I understand their job is to dissect and analyse.'

Seasoned pro: Elisha Cuthbert has been in the industry for years and no doubt will not be happy with the reviews

The model has clearly received a warm reception from fans nonetheless and thanked her supporters as she insisted that she was spurned on by the negative commentary.

'It's really you people that matter,' she continued. 'That's why as performers we keep going and do what we do. Despite the years of criticism I've had I never lose sight of that. May we never stop entertaining or trying.

'And may the Critics continue to encourage us to do better @nbconebighappy won its timeslot last night. You watched and you liked it Thank you xxxxxxxxx.'
