'Finally found a guy who understands me': Tennis ace Caroline Wozniacki shares cute clip of chatty dog Bruno less than a year after fiance Rory McIlroy dumped her

Caroline Wozniacki was left devastated when her fiance, Northern Irish golfer Rory McIlroy, broke up with her over the phone last May.

But ten months later, the 24-year-old Danish tennis champion is doing just fine thanks in part to the cute fellow in her life - her Pomeranian pup Bruno.

Caroline posted a short video that proved this cream-coloured pooch has quite the engaging personality and a way with barks, in this case.

'Finally found a guy who understands me,' the tennis champion captioned the brief clip.

Caroline is seen dressed in white shorts, a bright pink top and white visor while seated at a tennis court with the dog too pleased to be in her midst.

'Hi, hi, hi Bruno,' Caroline croons. And every time she says 'hi,' Bruno responds with a set of enthusiastic yaps.

The tennis ace also shared a previous snap of her little pup taking a flyling leap across the kitchen towards her.

'Ever seen a flying dog? No? Now you have,' Caroline happily wrote in the caption.

Last May, it was a different story after Rory jilted her via short phone call while she as playing on the professional women's tennis tour.

'My phone was going crazy, but I didn’t want to talk to anyone,' Caroline told the April issue of US Vogue in a sit-down interview with her tennis rival and BFF Serena Williams.

'I kept calling,' Serena described.

Caroline continued: 'First she texted, "If you don’t pick up, I am going to fly to Monaco." And then, "If you don’t answer the door, I am going to knock it down."

'So I thought, OK, I better answer the phone. And I am so glad I did. She wasn’t pitying me, like a lot of people were. I mean, it’s not like anyone died.'

Caroline added: 'I was in shock, but she was really helpful because she had been through it before. She didn’t sugarcoat it, and she didn’t look down on me.

'She was really there for me when I needed her the most, and that’s why I think our friendship is so strong now.'

'I was impressed with how strong she was,' Serena said, before continuing: 'And you know, there will be other engagement parties... many.'
