Serena Williams puts her own twist on Beyonce's 7/11 music video in a web short for Vogue... and the singer responds

The world's number one tennis player just showed major respect to entertainment's number one celebrity.

Serena Williams put her own grand slam twist to Beyonce's 7/11 music video for a web short shared on Vogue.com on Wednesday.

The athlete and the entertainer - both aged 33 - seemed to be fans of one another as Serena paid homage to the 20-time Grammy winner which Queen Bey recognized the tennis star's imitation on her Facebook page.

And what better way for Serena to celebrate the feat of being the first black, female athlete to be on the cover of Vogue than with a fun-filled dance clip.

'So cute Serena Williams!' Beyonce wrote along with the link to the parody footage.

In the Vogue video, Serena - the publication's latest cover girl - put her best Beyonce moves on display as she danced along to the single with tennis rack and balls in hand.

The ex-girlfriend of Oscar winning artist Common followed the original music video almost to a tee as she gyrated in bathrooms and hotel hallways just like Bey.

Serena held onto a selfie stick to recreate the style of a home made visual with the tennis player passing through quick cuts and wardrobe changes.

Although the extremely popular 'KALE' sweatshirt fails to make an appearance in Serena's version, the younger sister of Venus dons a series of pink tennis outfits instead.

Shot at the BallenIsles Country Club in Palm Beach, Florida, Serena fights off rain and tons of tennis balls to get the right look.

Serena is not the only A-list celeb to mimick the video as Rita Ora and Little Mix have delivered their own versions.

But the 19-time Grand Slam winner is the first to receive public recognition from the pop diva, who has the most Grammy nominations of any female artist with 53 nods.
