Just over a week ago Zayn Malik was accused of cheating on his fiancee Perrie Edwards when he was spotted cosying up to blonde Brit Lauren Richardson in Thailand.

But after strenuous denials, and Zayn making the shock decision to quit chart-topping boyband One Direction, the pair are happier than ever and were spotted househunting in Hertfordshire last week.

The couple viewed a seven-bedroom mansion, which according to the Sunday Mirror is worth £2 million, with Zayn's mother Trisha, amid reports they are planning to move ahead quickly with wedding plans.

According to reports, the house also has four reception rooms, a gym and games room and is set over four acres just 30 minutes from London.

Zayn and Perrie have been engaged since 2013 but plans to tie the knot were put on the back burner because of Zayn's commitments to One Direction and Perrie's to her band Little Mix.

However, a source told the Mirror: 'When Zayn proposed to Perrie nearly two years ago it was so he could marry her.

Speeding up their wedding plans is a far cry from where Zayn and Perrie were last weel.

Zayn had returned from Thailand where the band had been touring, arriving at 5am on Friday to talk to the blonde star in the wake of a picture being revealed of him getting cosy with another woman.

Almost immediately, he denied that there was anything going on between him and Lauren.

His quick jetting across the world to have crisis talks with his long-term partner threw their relationship into the spotlight, and there were doubts over the state of their union.

But after Zayn quit the band last Wednesday, Perrie was blamed by 1D fans for her man leaving the boy band, with many of them dubbing her 'the Yoko Ono of One Direction'.

Shortly after the singer confirmed the news, one fan lashed out at his fiancée on Twitter, writing: 'Perrie's the modern day Yoko Ono ... I can't believe this'.

Another tweeted: 'PERRIE EDWARDS IS THE YOKO ONO OF ONE DIRECTION'.

Yoko, who is the widow of the late John Lennon, was often blamed for breaking up the Beatles.

Meanwhile, other users suggested Perrie should quit Little Mix in order to support Zayn's desire to lead a 'normal' life.

One fan wrote: 'What just happened?! Did Perrie made him chose her over his career? Unfair, man. She should also quit if that's the case. Just an opinion (sic).'

Sources previously revealed that Zayn was willing to do anything to prove his commitment to the Move singer after he jetted back to the UK for crisis talks with her following cheating rumours earlier this month.

An insider said: 'Zayn's found touring with the band a big strain this time around - he's seriously exhausted and wanted to let his hair down in Thailand.

'Now his plan has backfired and he's gutted Perrie has been left humiliated.

'He's told Perrie he'll do anything to please her and wants to stop pushing their wedding date back. He says he wants to get married this year.
