'It's never going to be a Tarantino script if it's Home And Away!' Ed Sheeran disses Network Seven writers after playing himself on Summer Bay soap
He might have made a guest appearance on Home and Away, but it seems the script for the soap opera didn't exactly fill performer Ed Sheeran with awe.
The 24-year-old singer-songwriter told Fifi Box and Dave Thornton's hit 101.9 FOX FM show on Monday morning that he had low expectations of the Network Seven script.
'It's never going to be a Tarantino script if it's like Home And Away, is it?' the ginger star said, referring to master screentwriter Quentin Tarantino who has worked on films like Pulp Fiction.

Cut! The British singer-songwriter will play himself on the soap
The comments come just days after Ed was snapped walking arm-in-arm with actress Emily Symons, who plays Marilyn, along Palm Beach while filming his highly anticipated part - as himself.
Even though the singer claims to have enjoyed himself, he did explain that hanging out with the River Boys or Alf Stewart is not something he would consider doing full-time.
'I did [enjoy the moment] but I'm not one of these musicians that is going to be doing that instead of music,' he explained.
'It's fun to do a cameo every now and then... If the right film came along at the right time and I could give it all my time and all my energy, but I'd do something like that if I did the soundtrack too.
'I just don't want too many slashes on my bio on my Twitter,' he laughed.

Keeping tight-lipped on what the plot surrounding his storyline might be, the radio duo moved on to reveal that the multi-platinum singer wasn't the only one to land a part on the hit Aussie drama.
They played a clip of radio host Fifi acting as the 'head of fashions on the field at the Yabbie Creek Race Day' and trying to encourage festivals goers up on stage to be judged.
Fifi said she was embarrassed by the clip but Ed supported her acting skills, sounding impressed by the pint-sized star.
Too busy! Even though he claims he did enjoy himself, the Brit said hanging out with the River Boys or Alf Stewart is not something he would consider doing full-time
Speaking on rival breakfast show Kyle And Jackie O Show last Friday, the Don't singer admitted he was worried he may have left a bad impression on set after he admitted that he didn't say goodbye to any of the actors before leaving.
The British star was ill and doctors recommended he not speak at all in between shows and to only communicate via writing on a whiteboard, which put him in a bad mood.
'The worst thing about it is that that was the day my voice was really bad,' he said. 'I didn't really say "bye" to anyone, I was in such a bad mood.'
Ed already performed at three sold-out Sydney show, and still has tour dates in Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide before he finishes up in Australia on April 12.
