It's a love triangle which has been played out in public and on social media for over four years amid domestic violence charges and a secret love-child.

And after Karrueche Tran spoke out about the situation earlier this week, one can only imagine what the topic of conversation was over dinner on Friday night for Rihanna, as she dined with a friend in Los Angeles.

The Barbadian beauty popped sunglasses on as she left the restaurant in Brentwood, after having finally heard what Chris Brown's ex-girlfriend made of their love triangle.

Love triangle: Rihanna pops on sunglasses after leaving dinner with a friend in Los Angeles on Friday night, the first time she's been seen since Karrueche Tran spoke out about their crossed-over love lives

The singer wore her hair loose, and a short-sleeved grey top which showed off her elaborate tattoos.

Karrueche began dating Chris Brown in 2011 shortly after he was charged with two felonies for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna.

In the following year, the two pop artists rekindled their romance, much to the surprise of the 26-year-old model who was also still seeing the 25-year-old bad boy at the time.

The model recalled the moment she knew she was caught in a love triangle in interview with Iyanla Vanzant on OWN which will be broadcast on Saturday night.

She also talked about how she found out Chris fathered a child with another woman.

'I didn't want to believe it,' she told the 61-year-old life coach.

'I was under the impression that it was a friend-type of... not a friend, but it wasn't what it became to be,' Karrueche responded after she was asked if she was aware that 'Chris was dealing with Rihanna.'

She then recollected the moment she realized she wasn't the only woman in Chris' life.

It was on Christmas Day 2012 when she was staying at his Los Angeles condo and he told her he was slipping outside for a quick moment.

A few short hours later, photos of Chris with Rihanna at a Lakers basketball game surfaced on social media.

'I knew. I didn't want to believe it, I loved him,' she added about the love triangle.

Karrueche's four year romance with the Loyal hitmaker has been a troubled and tumultuous on-off again relationship.

Earlier this month, TMZ revealed that Chris was the father of a nine-month-old girl named Royalty with model Nia Amey.

Karrueche seemingly confirmed her relationship with Chris was finally over when she tweeted on March 4: 'Listen. One can only take so much. The best of luck to Chris and his family. No baby drama for me.'

No doubt Rihanna has set her DVR for Karrueche's interview with Iyanla which airs on March 28 on OWN.
