Katy Perry has debuted a dramatic 'new look' inspired by Kris Jenner.

The Roar hit maker shared a snap of herself with tousled cropped hair, however, the question is whether it's just one big April Fools' Day joke.

The pop star took to Instagram to show off the new 'do and humourously captioned: 'I asked for the Kris Jenner'

The Wide Awake hit maker - whose hair had been shoulder length in recent weeks - appears to be wrapped up in a fur coat in the selfie with perfectly applied smokey eye make-up.

Her short black tresses appear ruffled for a just-got-out-of bed look and she displays a silver ring in her nose.

On Monday Katy, 30, attended Karl Lagerfeld's Cruise With Karl boat party on the Hudson river, with a star-studded crowd that included Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Lily Collins.

Katy Perry was one of the lucky few to be invited on a cruise with the legendary Karl Lagerfeld.

She mingled with models like Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid and even took a selfie with Kris Jenner. And of course this was an incredibly stylish boat load of people so no wonder she turned to one of Lagerfeld's designs for Chanel. What else would one wear darling?
