According to AhlulBayt News Agancy -ABNA- Kata'ib Imam Ali Brigades announced the martyrdom of one its commander in the great operation to liberate Tikrit.
According to the statement that released by Kata'ib Imam Ali Brigade, "Seyed Ali Mousavi," was martyred in the city of Tikrit, in Salahuddin province, while he was fighting against ISIS terrorists.
Kata'ib Imam Ali (the Imam Ali Battalions) is a Shia army formed as part of the wider Shia mobilization against the ISIS insurgency in Iraq in 2014.
The group's leader is Shabal al-Zaidi, who was a one-time commander in Muqtada al-Sadr's Mahdi Army.
