It is often said when the going gets tough, the tough go shopping.

Christina Milian seems to live by that adage, taking pal Karrueche Tran out for a sneaker shopping spree in Los Angeles, California, on Tuesday.

Karrueche certainly could do with the distraction, having recently split with her long term boyfriend Chris Brown after it was revealed he had fathered a little girl during their relationship.

And the retail therapy seemed to be working, with the 26-year-old smiling away as she and Christina stopped by Tyga and L.A Gear's sneaker launch at Shiekh Shoes.

The rapper unveiled his new version of the Eighties classic L.A. Lights sneaker - the Liquid Gold Shoe - at the event, and one thing is for sure, the ladies were pretty impressed.

No doubt making Karrueche enjoy her shopping day even more was that she and her bestie were getting a chance to get a pair of the limited edition shoes for free.

The reality star also had her eye on a T-shirt that said 'bae' on it - which is a pet name for someone's girlfriend - perhaps wanting it as a constant reminder to boyfriend Lil Wayne.
