Aaron Novick

Aaron Novick (1919 - 2000) was a member of the Manhattan Project.

Novick completed his doctorate in physical organic chemistry at the University of Chicago. There he joined the project, and proceeded to Hanford, Washington, where he helped produce plutonium. He witnessed the Trinity experiment. After the war Novick became a pacifist who was adamantly opposed to nuclear proliferation.

Novick started the Institute of Molecular Biology at the University of Oregon in 1959.
