She's had her signature red locks since finding fame on The Only Way is Essex in 2010, but five years on and it's finally time for a change.

Amy Childs showed off her new brunette hair do at her cousin Harry Derbidge's 21st birthday party on Friday night.

Strutting into the Sugar Hut in Brentwood, Essex, Amy's chic new look turned heads as she gushed about her big makeover on Twitter.

Amy spent hours in the stylist's chair ahead of her big night out, swapping her fiery red locks for a much more subtle brunette shade.

Adding some Easilocks hair extensions, the 24-year-old was clearly delighted with her chic new look, posting several selfies on her Instagram account and writing a gushing message for her stylist.

'Thank you so much @shane_o_sullivan for my new hair #goodbyered!!! #easilocks #besthairextentions #nodamage,' she wrote.

Not wanting her new look to go to waste, Amy hit the town for her cousin Harry's big 21st bash.

The group hit their favourite party spot, Brentwood's Sugar Hut, for the night out, with TOWIE favourite Gemma Collins also on the guest list.

Amy made a statement, pairing her new locks with a pale pink jumpsuit which featured some bold flared trousers.

Letting her hair do do the talking, Amy kept her makeup simple, coordinating her glossy pink lips and hint of blusher with the colour of her jumpsuit and adding a pair of platforms to add to the retro vibe.

Carrying her favourite Chanel bag, Amy strutted into the venue where she was soon showered with compliments about her new look.

It was just a couple of years ago that the salon owner revealed she was forced to give up her beloved extensions after they caused severe damage to her locks.
