The University of Salford required a Second Life space to welcome international students and also a training scenario set up to provide staff training. EDinteractive created these virtual e-learning environments within the Salford Metaverse within Second Life. Second Life is a huge virtual world and gives the ability for anyone to visit and speak to real people. It has both social and learning potential for interactivity. Second Life is used by many Universities and the British Council as an interactive e-learning and training environment. |

From 2009 to 2011, the University of Salford will co-ordinate an innovative AHRC-funded doctoral training programme, teaching PhD students the Theories and Methods: Literature, Science, and Medicine. EDinteractive delivered a content managed website with social networking, learning resouces and event management system to a tight deadline. |
