She was dressed perfectly for a chilly day in the coastal seaport city as she bundled up in a black beanie and patterned scarf.

Jennifer also wore a long, black coat over a green knit sweater and printed top while strutting along in a pair of skinny dark jeans and black leather motorcycle boots.

The Chicago-born actress also wore her signature curly brunette tresses down on the outing as she sported natural, complimentary make-up on her face.

Her claim to fame came from her signature role in highly-popular Eighties film Flashdance as she played a welder moonlighting as an exotic dancer that aspires to be a professional dancer regardless of never having any formal training.

The movie was not well-received by movie critics but did enjoy box office success as it grossed more than $92million domestically en route to the third best showing of any film released in 1983.

The movie was so successful that the soundtrack also saw success as Maniac by Michael Sembello and Flashdance.... What A Feeling performed by Irene Cara both topped the charts after the release of the film.

Jennifer was more than a one hit wonder herself as she found success twenty years later starring as Better Porter in all six seasons of Showtime series The L Word.

The programme followed a group of lesbian, bisexual, straight and transgender people in the Los Angeles neighbourhood of West Hollywood.

As she has appeared in over fifty films, she has not stopped working as she is set to star in an upcoming TNT series titled Proof.

According to Deadline, it is a supernatural medical drama executive produced by Kyra Sedgwick with Jennifer starring as a female surgeon in the lead role. It is set to premiere on June 16.
