'2015 is going to be all about family': New mum Lara Bingle describes herself as empowered, homely and diligent as she begins a new chapter with Sam Worthington

But after years of broken relationships, scandals and even a reality show, Australian beauty Lara Bingle is on top of the world and relishing in life as a new mother and wife.

In a Love Twain interview titled 'The rebirth', the 27-year-old model-turned-businesswoman made mention of her newborn baby with husband Sam Worthington, revealing that 2015 is going to be all about 'family.'

The beauty entrepreneur also revealed to the blog she considers herself 'empowered, homely and diligent' and her perfect coffee date would be Elle Macpherson.

The inspiring new mum divulged to readers that her day isn't complete without 'Vegemite' and that she's on the hunt for a vintage leopard fur coat, saying 'I've been on the search now for over 3 years.'

The newlyweds gave birth to their first child, a son named Rocket Zot late last month in their adopted Los Angeles, California.

Family is incredibly important to Lara, who affectionately named her son after her late father Graham, who passed away from liver and pancreatic cancer in 2008.

On Saturday, she took to social media to explain that Rocket's unusual second name was 'a respectful nod to my late father, whose nickname was affectionately, Zot.'

Lara broke her silence after an Australian publication was critical of her bub's unique moniker, and poked fun of his middle name in particular.

On Friday, she posted a picture of herself to Instagram, her first sighting since giving birth.

The ethereal shot captures Lara immersed in water up to her neck, cupping her bare breasts as she looks away from the camera's view.

She and 38-year-old Sam had been dating since 2013 and have form for keeping the public guessing when it comes to their private life - Lara and Sam spent months refusing to say whether they had tied the knot.

The speculation was directly sparked by the entrepreneur, who in late December changed her Instagram name to Lara Bingle Worthington.

Welcoming his first child comes at a big time for Sam, who will be reprising his role as Jake Sully for the upcoming sequels to Avatar, the highest grossing film of all time, in the coming years.
