A woman amazingly survived a huge gas explosion that ripped through her farmhouse - because she was out walking her dogs. Sarah House and her dogs cheated death by going for a stroll shortly before the detached property exploded yesterday afternoon, leaving destruction in its wake. The rear wall was completely torn off by the blast, leaving a bath tub teetering over the edge of what was once the upstairs bathroom of the home.
Her father George House, 86, has owned the home for more than half a century and said his daughter was too distraught to talk about the explosion, adding that the house would have to be flattened.

She created a bucket list of things she wanted to do before she died, including renewing her wedding vows with husband David, 29 (the pair are pictured, left, at the ceremony). Her children Demilee, 11, Leon, eight, and Lucas, five (pictured right) paid tribute to their mother, saying she 'lived for them'. Now fully aware how crucial cervical screening is, her family encouraging other women not to delay smear tests. Her cousin, Anne-Marie Stanwick, 29, said: 'No one should be dying this young of cervical cancer. You just don't realise how important it is to get a smear.'
