It's not a great way to spend the Easter holiday.

Ireland Baldwin was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, on Thursday evening after suffering intense stomach pain.

Alec Baldwin arrived at the top-notch Beverly Hills hospital about three minutes after his daughter and she was admitted right away, according to E! News.

Glum but grateful: On Friday Ireland Baldwin tweeted a snap taken in Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Beverly Hills where she had an emergency operation to remove her appendix

The blonde was quickly diagnosed with appendicitis, a condition that can be fatal if not caught in time, and her appendix was removed in an emergency operation.

By Friday, the 19-year-old - who is also the daughter of Kim Basinger - was evidently feeling a lot better as she posted a Twitter snap that showed her at Cedars in a wheelchair wearing blue hoodie pyjamas and black flip-flops.

Ireland, who looked a little glum as she rested her head on her hand, had a cream robe on her lap along with a black bag - perhaps a present from her famous parents.

Dare to be bare...almost: The 6ft 3in model's health scare came the day after she released a set of revealing photos - taken by Tyler Kandel during a lingerie shoot - on Instagram

The young model captioned the shot: 'Appendicitis swag [heart] thanks for all of your concern.'

Ireland's trip to hospital came a day after the statuesque 6ft 2ins model posted topless and bottomless, semi-nude pictures of herself on Instagram.

The provocative snaps were from a new lingerie shoot with photographer Tyler Kandel, and featured her in various poses where she just barely maintained her modesty.

Ireland completed her posts with a note on Instagram: 'Thank you @thekandelstudio for all these goodies until noodles, my friend'.
