Gearing up for Coronation Street! Sarah Harding stops for petrol as it's revealed she's set to join ITV soap

It was confirmed last week that Sarah Harding will be joining the cast of Coronation Street this summer.

And the former Girls Aloud singer looked ready to rev her acting career up a notch as she stopped at a petrol station in London on Monday.

Sarah was dressed down for her brief pit-stop, wearing skinny jeans, a polka dot tee and a patterned scarf.

She wore her short bob pulled back from her face with a grip and went make-up free on her outing.

The 33-year-old singer has been interested in acting for years, first landing a role in 2007's flick St. Trinian's.

Since then she has appeared opposite Danny Dyer in 2012's Run For Your Wife, with the actor - who is currently starring in EastEnders - singing her praises after being impressed with her performance.

The Love Machine singer will make a guest appearance in the ITV soap this summer, as a feisty new character who will clash with troublemaker Tracy Barlow, played by Kate Ford.

‘I am extremely excited to be joining Coronation Street,’ the former pop star said in a statement released last Wednesday morning.
