'We only spent a little bit of time together at the after party, but of course she's a beautiful girl and I'm only human so I was attracted to her.

'We had a bit of a dance and we got back in touch when we came back to the UK. And now here we are, boyfriend and girlfriend. It's amazing!'

Speaking about the moment they first met, Danielle told the magazine that Jake smelled of 'bonfire and sweat and revolting Bushtucker Trial food'.

However, despite this, the pretty blonde admitted that sparks still flew.

Fortunately for Jake, it sounds as though Danielle's famous father, former World Superbike champion Carl, has given the romance his seal of approval too.

Talking to the magazine about his daughter's new man, he said: 'I spent a lot of time getting to know Jake in the jungle.

'He wants to make something of himself and get somewhere with his music. He's not afraid of hard work and he's very motivated. I admire that about him.'

Carl was of course the person who introduced Danielle to Jake at a hotel in Australia after being crowned king of the jungle last year.

The pair then began secretly dating - but it didn't take long for Carl to figure out what was going on.

During an interview with the Daily Star, Jake said the penny dropped pretty quickly when he began constantly hanging around the family home near Blackburn, Lancashire.

The hunk, who was runner-up to his girlfriend's dad on the 2014 reality show, was nervous when he then approached him for a chat about his intentions.

But Jake couldn't have been happier with the warm response and 'lovely things' his co-star said to him.

'Carl said he couldn't ask for a better person to see his daughter', Jake enthused.

The cheeky chappy added that Foggy's entire family loves him and trusts him not to break 23-year-old Danielle's heart.

Jake had just come out of a four-year relationship with Victoria Skerrow when he entered the jungle.
