They've had their ups and downs in recent weeks, but Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger seem to have put rumours of a break-up firmly behind them - with Miley's big sister weighing in to give her seal of approval to the couple.

Brandi Cyrus says that Miley and Patrick balance each other out.

The 22-year-old 'Wrecking Ball' hitmaker has got the seal of approval from her sister who told Us Weekly magazine she thinks the star's boyfriend is a 'good dude'.

Singer Miley Cyrus was seen with her boyfriend Patrick Schwarzenegger in a laid-back 90s inspired outfit that Cher Horowitz would love. Brandi, 27, said: 'I think she met him through her mutual friend, but we've hung out with him a ton since. He's been great. He's such a nice guy.

'He's easy to hang out with and be around. He has great friends. He's a good dude.

'I like that they balance each other out. Miley is like a big personality, high energy, and he's super laid-back and easygoing. And they are a good team.'

Brandi also thinks the loved-up couple are perfect for each other because they come from similar backgrounds.

She added: 'He comes from a big family too. He's got a sister and I think he fits in so well because he kind of comes from the same life we did.

'He has a famous dad [Arnold Schwarzenegger] and stuff. I mean he gets it.'

The pair's relationship was rumoured to have hit the rocks recently after Patrick, 21, was seen getting close to his ex-girlfriend but whilst Brandi thinks it's hard to 'keep up' with their relationship, she believes things are most likely OK between the couple.

She told the magazine: 'As far as I know yes, [they're doing OK].

'But you know you never know. Things change every day with everybody. It's hard to keep up.'
