What Makes A Face Scientifically Beautiful Is The Million Dollar Question

According to a CNN study taken in the UK, what makes a face scientifically beautiful makes us all pretty unattractive, to say the least.

They say beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, so the biased CNN study that excluded any race besides caucasian shouldn’t be taken so personally. According to the study conducted by CNN, University of Kent professor Dr. Chris Solomon asked the question, “What makes a face scientifically beautiful?”

The 100 UK citizens asked claimed that scientifically, the most beautiful people in the world, hands down, are actress Natalie Portman and model David Candy.  I beg to differ; being that I am of African descent, according to European standards, our facial features don’t meet the criteria CNN has presented as beautiful:

1. Almond shaped eyes (women)/ Oval shaped eyes (men)
2. Small and slim noes (women)/ Mid-length straight noes (men)
3. Full lips (women), Average lips (men)

According to these results, there are plenty of “scientifically ugly” people walking around.  This is just one example of a stereotypically based study, and should not be taken at face value, or as scientific fact. We are all allotted our own opinion, and beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
