Their careers are on the rise, but lovebirds Gigi Hadid and Cody Simpson made romance a top priority on Thursday.

The smitten couple were unable to hide their affection for one another as they strolled through New York City hand-in-hand.

Gigi, 19, beamed as she walked close beside the 18-year-old Australian singer during another chilly day in the concrete jungle.

Love is in the air! Gigi Hadid - wearing Sunday Somewhere sunglasses - flashed a smitten grin as she walked beside her boyfriend Cody Simpson in New York City on Thursday

The model flashed a wide grin while dressed on-trend in a fluffy white coat and edgy leather ankle boots with buckles.

Gigi's blonde hair was pulled back into a low and relaxed pony tail, and she kept her piercing green eyes hidden behind a pair of Sunday Somewhere sunglasses.

Cody was outfitted in a sharp black leather jacket, tattered white T-shirt, and his signature hat.

It was only days ago the songbird sang his praises for his long-term girlfriend in an interview with Good Day New York.

When asked about his model partner, Cody said: 'She's a great girl.'

'We've been together for over two years. It’s nice when you find something worth working toward,' he gushed.

The Australian songwriter also revealed that he writes private songs for his partner that he only shares with her.

'I've definitely written a lot of music about her,' he said.

Cody's budding musical career continues to go from strength-to-strength.

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, Cody announced he has launched his own independent music label.

Meanwhile, Gigi's star continues to rise in the modelling world.

The looker recently graced the pages of British Vogue - she shared two images from the shoot on Instagram Thursday - and even inked a contract with Maybelline in January.
