Thousands are flocking to the desert to take in the sights and sounds of Southern California's renowned music festival Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

And Kendall Jenner was one of the many celebrities showing off their best festival fashions while taking in the dozens of musical acts during the first weekend of the annual music festival.

The 19-year-old model showed that skin was in as she proudly displayed her svelte figure in a striped bikini top while jaunting around the grounds at the event held in Indio, California.

Over the bathing suit top, she wore a short brown leather vest, ripped light blue cut-off jeans and a pair of snakeskin booties.

The reality star wore her raven-coloured locks down and had natural, complimentary make-up on her face as she appeared to be a dead ringer for her mother Kris Jenner.

She accessorised the look like many other festival goers with several silver necklaces and bracelets, aviator sunglasses and a grey leather fringed bag.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was joined by her fellow model gal pal Hailey Baldwin as the two held hands while strutting their stuff on the grass.

The 18-year-old daughter of Stephen Baldwin rocked a bright red vest, daisy dukes and knee-high black leather boots.

Hailey had her blonde locks up in a ponytail and also accessorized with aviator style shades.

Brooklyn Beckham was also spotted enjoying the festival as he walked around the grounds in a comfortable ensemble for the long day of performances.

Gal pals: She was also joined by fellow model and friend Hailey Baldwin

Dynamic duo: Kendall matched avitor shades with the 18-year-old daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin as they jaunted around

He wore a white shirt with a doughnut printed on it and the sleeves rolled up along with black skinny jeans and a pair of all black Vans sneakers.

The 16-year-old son of Spice Girl Victoria and former footballer David Beckham also had his hair up in a pompadour and sported a pair of black wayfarer shades.

Earlier in the day, Kendall took to her Instagram account to post a few photos of the pals making their way to the festival.

The daughter of Kris and Bruce Jenner posted a picture of she and Hailey sitting in the back of a Jeep and another one of their footwear while driving to the highly popular concert event.

The picture shows a pair of bright white low-top Converse sneakers, next to a coordinating pair of white sneakers, followed by knee-high black leather boots.

They were not the only ones taking to social media to show off their are at Coachella as Gigi Hadid also took to the picture-sharing social network to share a snap of her travels, followed quickly by Scott Eastwood.

Amber Rose will also be taking part in the festivities, along with close pals Christina Milian and Karrueche Tran.

Gigi looked radiant and ready for the ride as she posed in a bright white T-shirt embellished with a smiley faced emoji.

'Get your emoji on!' Gigi Hadid was Coachella-bound on Friday afternoon, and she took to Instagram to share a snap of her travels

Her long blonde locks were slicked back into a ponytail, and she hid her eyes behind a pair of reflective white sunglasses.

She sported shiny pink lip gloss in the photo she captioned: 'Desert bound in my sissy @lanzybear's new brand @currentmoji Get your moji on!'

Scott also donned a pair of brightly colored reflective sunglasses in his on-the-road selfie on Friday afternoon.

The Longest Ride star seemed to be screaming in excitement in the shot, in which he looks casual in a white and black T-shirt.

Amber Rose showed off her famous curves in a form-fitting red and green plaid ensemble as she prepared for the ride to Indio, California.

She pursed her lips in the shot, showing off a trendy berry lip color, while her two-piece ensemble revealed a bit of the star's midriff.

Amber's sheer plaid top also showed off the revealing black bra that the model was sporting underneath.

The girls couldn't help but laugh as they posed for a series of silly photos together before taking off in a luxury Motor run to Coachella.

The celebrity most known for her love of Coachella - and most-envied festival fashion - was absent from Friday's preparations.

Kate also shared a snap of a beautiful beige, yellow, and pink geometric print Coach bag, as well as a festive floral headband.

Jennifer Hudson wasn't one to miss out on the fun, although she seemed to hint that she wasn't ready for the morning drive.

In the picture Jennifer sports somewhat of a scowl as she sits on a bench in a fitted black crop-top which reads: 'Salad is my best friend.'

Problem solved: The songstress followed her last post up with a shot of her meal, captioning it: 'There it go! Yep burger n chips ! U ain't want non did ya....????'

She accessorized with pair of denim shorts, a long cream-colored cardigan, and stylish black leather combat boots.

However, perhaps the star's poor mood was simply due to hunger, as she quickly followed that post up with a photo captioned: 'Wait , I'm hungry'

The star then treated herself to a burger and chips from Fatburger, sharing a photo of the meal and writing: 'There it go! Yep burger n chips ! U ain't want non did ya....????'

'Coachella here we come!' Jennifer was ready to hit the road after eating, writing: 'Got a song to sing now!' and 'This should be fun!'

The former American Idol contestant seemed ready to ride following her meal from Fatburger, and shared another photo on Instagram of her back in her car.

She showed off her toned legs in the latest shot, which she captioned: 'Ok now let me stretch my legs first and I'm ready to go!'

Jennifer excitedly continued: 'Got a song to sing now ! Coachella here we come ! This should be fun!'

Drake also took to Instagram to share a photo celebrating the upcoming festivities in Indio, California.

He shared a picture relaxing in front of the festival grounds, sporting a red sweatsuit and a pair of white sneakers.

The blonde beauty sported the Beverly Hills piece from her Kimberley London line, which is a trendy white monokini with daring cut-outs along the front.

The reality star coupled that with a flowing white floral skirt - at times donning a pair of distressed denim shorts - as well as a pair of beige, heeled ankle booties.
