And on Sunday evening, James McAvoy and Anne-Marie Duff put on a show of affection as they arrived at London’s grand Royal Opera House for the noted Olivier theater awards.
The pair, who have been married for almost nine years, appeared to be in content and relaxed spirits as they posed together on the star-studded red carpet.

James, 35, looked incredibly dapper in a tailored two-piece suit, which he teamed with a crisp white shirt and a silky black tie.
His leading lady dressed her lean and slender frame in a gorgeous black strapless gown, complete with embellished floral detailing and a heart-shaped bodice.
Her lightly coloured tresses were styled in a chic updo, while a slick of dark pink lipstick, dark eyeliner and lashings of black mascara gave the look the perfect flourish.

Turning heads as she walked passed, the 44-year-old actress lovingly gazed at her handsome husband while making her way through the glittering crowd.
James and Anne-Marie were joined on the red carpet by Green Wing’s Tamsin Greig and fellow actress Haydn Gwynne.
The stars seemed quite happy to appear together as they embraced each other and even shared a laugh while James later playfully grabbed Tamsin’s waist.

Meanwhile... the Scottish heartthrob was nominated for the Best Actor award for his role in The Ruling Class but lost out to Mark Strong for his turn in A View From The Bridge

The bash, which attracted some of the biggest names in Theatreland, also saw Penelope Wilton win best actress for her performance in Taken At Midnight, while A View From A Bridge was also named best revival and its director Ivo Van Hove won best director.
The night ended with Dame Judi Dench presenting Kevin Spacey with the special award in recognition of his work in London theatre, before the Hollywood star launched into a show-stopping performance of Bridge Over Troubled Water.
