At the time of the incident in May 2010, it was initially claimed that Mr Buckett - then aged 16 - climbed on the roof of Clayton Hall Business and Language College in Stoke-on-Trent to fetch a football. But during a hearing at Stoke-on-Trent County Court, it emerged that he and a group of friends had broken in to the tuck shop and stolen some food and drink.

The £15m 'eyesore seaside hut': Owner of townhouse outrages her neighbours by painting it with bright red-and-white stripes after they objected to her plans to install super-basement

EXCLUSIVE: Neighbours of a £15million townhouse in the exclusive South End, Kensington, west London, are said to be 'horrendously unhappy' after the property's exterior was painted in red stripes (left). The three-storey terraced home used to be tucked away neatly in the row of multi-million pound properties (centre in top right picture) but has garnered attention since its façade changed from a subtle white colour into bright stripes under the cover of darkness. Neighbours have claimed the 'eyesore' looks more like a 'beachside hut' than an exclusive townhouse in one of London's richest boroughs. It comes after an ongoing battle by owner Zipporah Lisle-Mainwaring to develop the house to include a 'super basement' complete with a swimming pool, gym and media room (graphic of the plans, bottom right). After an initial application was rejected, she submitted another application to demolish the house and rebuild it to include the double basement. The application was rejected before eventually being granted at appeal but now hangs in the balance again after neighbours submitted a legal challenge. Residents are furiously objecting the plans because they believe the building work will cause 'structural problems' for the houses adjacent to the property and severe disruption to the quiet, cobbled street.
