Wish you were here! Kim Kardashian carries a cut-out of brother Rob's face while touring through ancestral home of Armenia

Kim Kardashian wanted her brother Rob to accompany her and Khloe to Armenia, but he declined.

The 34-year-old reality star was forcing the issue as she toted a cardboard cut-out of Rob's face during a stroll in Yerevan, Armenia on Sunday.

Kim appeared to have pasted a colour picture of her brother's head to a stick, perhaps to remind her of her younger sibling back home.

All eyes were on Kim who wore a skintight white turtleneck and high-waist cream trousers with satiny panels down the sides.

But every now and then, Kim gazed down on Rob's likeness as though wishing he could be there right beside her as she waded through the crowd of fans.

A camera crew for Keeping Up With The Kardashians also followed the glamorous mother-of-one.

Suit up in Kim's satin trim tuxedo pants

Kim Kardashian has been receiving a royal welcome since she touched down in Armenia, and she's certainly the queen of fashion in our eyes!

The brunette bombshell looked dazzling in this all-white ensemble comprising of a white bodysuit and satin trim trousers. And isn't it refreshing to see Kim eschewing the body-conscious look in favor of something a little more..covered up?!

We're digging these trousers in particular - they're by Mugler and we can't get enough of that high-waist cut and opulent satin trim along the waistband and sides. It's official - the tux pant is no longer confined to an evening look. Rock yours with a poloneck and Stan Smiths for work, and dress them up with barely-there nude heels for cocktails afterwards.

So why not update your pant collection with these statement trousers now? You can snap them up at Neiman Marcus (right).

Or suit up in some smart tuxedo pants from the high street in our edit below. With picks from Missguided, Warehouse and more you'll be keeping up with Kim's style in no time!

The cut-out was 'a thing for the show, but also a nice gesture for Rob,' a source told Us Weekly, adding: 'Kim wanted Rob to come and experience Armenia, but he wasn’t up for it.'

Kim's feud with her brother was played out on national television in last week's episode.

'We all make [Rob's] life so easy,' Kim was seen complaining to her mom Kris Jenner and sister Khloe.

'"Okay, we'll drive you around with a chauffeur so no one has to look at you." We had a chef on standby, a trainer. "We'll send people to run out and buy you socks and underwear." Like, this is pathetic.'

Rob made his contentious feelings known by comparing Kim to 'the b**ch in Gone Girl' in an Instagram last month, which he has since deleted.

She received a royal welcome when she landed in Armenia last week.

And Kim's Queen-like status was confirmed on Sunday, when she accepted a sprig of lilac from an elderly fan who had waited three days to meet her.

Her fan finally won an up-close and personal encounter with the glamorous reality star in the capital of Yerevan after waiting 12 hours a day for the opportunity.

On the visit, Kim sounded an unusually serious note when she, husband Kanye and sister Khloe visited the memorial to Armenian genocide victims near the 100th anniversary of the tragedy.

'It was an honor to meet the Prime Minister of Armenia, Hovik Abrahamyan who expressed how proud they are that we are proud Armenians and we have not forgotten our roots! #NeverForget,' Kardashian wrote on her Instagram account.

Today, Prope Francis caused an international incident, when he called the killing of up to 1.5million Armenians in 1915 'the 20th century's first genocide.'

The Turkish government expressed outrage at the Pope's words. Officials - who argue that the killings were a result of an Armenian uprising and that many Turks died, as well - said: 'It is not possible to accept the pope’s statement, which is far from any legal or historical reality.

'Religious authorities are not the places to incite resentment and hatred with baseless allegations.'

In response, the Turkish Foreign Ministry recalled its ambassador to the Vatican and summoned the Vatican's ambassador toe Turkey for a lecture about the Armenian question.

THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

The Kardashian family have travelled to Armenia as the country prepares to mark the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide on April 24th.

During the eight-day trip, the group and a film crew visited Yerevan's genocide memorial and Armenia's National Archives to see documents about the Kardashian family ancestors.

Armenians say up to 1.5 million of their kin were killed between 1915 and 1917 as the Ottoman Empire was falling apart and have long sought to win international recognition of the massacres as genocide.

Turkey rejects the claims, arguing that 300,000 to 500,000 Armenians and just as many Turks died in civil strife when Armenians rose up against their Ottoman rulers and sided with invading Russian troops.

Kim and her family have publicly supported international recognition of the massacres and in 2011, Kim wrote a blog post calling on Americans to recognise the slayings.

'Until this crime is resolved truthfully and fairly, the Armenian people will live with the pain of what happened to their families and the fear of what might happen again to their homeland,' the star wrote.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received Kardashian and her family in the capital Yerevan and praised their contribution to 'international recognition and condemnation of the Armenian genocide,' his press service said.

The elderly fan, who was first pictured outside the Kardashians' Yerevan hotel with other admirers on Thursday, seized the occasion with great fervor.

She wrapped Kim in a warm embrace, planting a kiss on the raven-haired beauty's cheek.

The elderly fan also excitedly handed Kim a hand-plucked sprig of lilac and earnestly held her hand while speaking to her.

Kim was very touched by the woman's gestures and determination, returning the hug with affection and engaging warmly.

Meanwhile, younger sister Khloe stood by laughing in gentle amusement as the interaction played out.

Kim also specially greeted another elderly woman standing next to the first one, whose hand Kim held with both of hers.

The mother-of-one then greeted other fans who were part of the mob that had turned up for her presence, taking selfies with some young girls while holding onto her purple blossom.

While flanked by bodyguards, Kim certainly stood out in the crowd, wearing head-to-toe white, including a long-sleeved turtleneck top with sleek trousers.

Kim had swept her hair back in a low ponytail while glamming it up with giant diamond stud earrings.

Khloe, 30, donned a low-cut black top tucked into blue jeans, as she kept warm in a regal black outer garment.

The sisters were back in the Armenian capital of Yerevan after visiting the Cathedral of the Holy Mother of God while exploring the city of Gyumri on Saturday.

However, they angered a local bishop when their bodyguards initially tried to close the doors to keep journalists and onlookers away.

The bishop, Mikayel Adjapagian, sharply objected to obstructing worshippers from the church.

The bodyguards relented and the doors stayed open.

Kim was certainly learning a lot on her day sight-seeing in Armenia's second largest city.

Indeed she looked genuinely moved, not to mention a little overwhelmed, as she later visited the overgrown ruins of her modest ancestral family home.

With rusted sheet metal walls, no roof, and piles of rubble and debris littering the site, the long neglected location was surely a stark reality check for the pampered reality star.

Despite their impractical towering high heels the sisters and their group had walked down a muddy dirt road to find the home.

The poverty of the area was obvious, with mud splattered up walls, peeling paint and old cars parked outside.

Kim carried North as she and her sister Khloe looked around the site.

Her husband Kanye West also joined the group.

Having being initially welcomed to the country like returning heroes, the sisters have since been on a steep learning curve about their heritage.

Showing them around are the Kardashian Kousins - Armenian sisters Kourtni and Kara, who run a clothing store with third sister Krista.

The two made sure to stick close to their glossy Los Angeles counterparts as they guided them around historic Gyumri.

Despite the devastation of two earthquakes in modern times, the city remains one of the few places to view authentic urban Armenian architecture.

So far the sisters and their cousins have had rather a political trip, attending a memorial commemorating the victims of the Armenian genocide 100 years ago.

The family have even met with Armenian Prime Minister Abrahamyan, who praised the family's contribution to 'international recognition and condemnation of the Armenian genocide'.

Kim, Khloe and their cousins also jointly promised to push for the recognition of the genocide, the government said.

'The Kardashians apologised for not speaking Armenian but said they are learning their native language,' a government statement said.

'They pledged to continue the struggle for international recognition and condemnation of the Armenian genocide.'

Taking to her Instagram account to reflect on the experience, Kim said: 'It was an honor to meet the Prime Minister of Armenia, Hovik Abrahamyan who expressed how proud they are that we are proud Armenians and we have not forgotten our roots! #NeverForget.'

Kim and Kanye have also enjoyed a date night - no doubt allowing Kim to sample some of her favourite Armenian food - something she has a passion for.

KARDASHIAN'S CONNECTION TO ARMENIA

Robert Kardashian, father of Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Robert Jr, was a third-generation Armenian American.

The celebrity lawyer, who passed away in 2003 just eight weeks after being diagnosed with oesophageal cancer, passed on his pride in his heritage to his family, who have been vocal about their Armenian roots.

Robert’s ancestors fled the Armenian Genocide in the early 20th century, thanks to a 'prophet' who urged them to uproot to America.

Known at the time as the Kardaschoffs, in Russian style, the family made their way from their home village of Karakale in the late 19th Century to German ports. From there, they travelled to a new life in America on the passenger vessels SS Brandenberg and SS Koln.

By doing so, they escaped the triple horror of the First World War from 1914-18, the 'Armenian Genocide' starting in 1915 - exactly a century ago this year - and the Russian Revolution in 1917.

Among those fleeing Erzurum - then in Armenia, and ruled by last Russian Tsar Nicholas II - was family patriarch Hovhannes Miroyan and Kim's great great grandfather, born in 1844. He married Luciag Chorbajian, born in 1853.

The couple wed in Erzurum, which is now in Turkey, in 1867 but escaped along with their daughter Vartanoosh Mironyan, born in 1886, in the early 20th century.

Vartanoosh's distinctly blonde daughter Haigoohi Arakelian, known as Helen, was born in America in 1917, the year the Bolshevik Revolution rocked the Russian Empire. She was Kim's grandmother, who later married into the Kardashian clan.

The glamorous and 'dynamic' Helen wed Arthur who ran the largest meat-packing business in southern California.

Helen's son Robert married Kris Houghton and fathered the 21st Century's biggest reality TV stars Kourtney, Khloe, Robert Jr and most famous of all - Kim.

Their mother Kris eventually married Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner and together they raised two more TV personalities, Kendall and Kylie.
