Chris Soules collapses during Dancing With The Stars rehearsals after calf injury ...but The Bachelor star toughs it out

Chris Soules lived up to his Hercules character on Monday night's episode of Dancing With The Stars after enduring a painful injury.

The 33-year-old star of ABC's The Bachelor went down during rehearsal on Sunday after pulling a calf muscle but toughed it out and competed.

Chris was blocking his quickstep dance for the cameras along with pro partner Witney Carson when he suddenly fell to the ground.

Witney, 21, helped the farmer from Iowa off the dance floor and someone asked off-camera if he was OK.

'I don't know, it popped,' Chris replied.

An insider told US Weekly that Chris pullled his calf muscle on Saturday during rehearsals and then collapsed on Sunday during camera blocking when he pulled it again.

Chris shared a photo on Twitter on Sunday showing himself icing his calf.

'Icing my pulled calf muscle. Hope it feels better for tomorrow....any tips?,' he tweeted along with the photo.

It was a game-time decision on whether or not Chris would compete.

'I don't know how I'm going to be able to perform tonight,' Chris told the camera during Monday night's broadcast of the ABC dancing competition show.

Chris and Witney took the stage during the show's Disney theme night with The Bachelor star dressed as Hercules in a white toga, white headband and gladiator sandals.

His left calf was taped while performing the quickstep with Witney as the show reached the halfway point in the competition.

Chirs made it through the challenging dance and host Tom Bergeron asked him afterward how his leg felt.

'It hurts,' Chris replied.

The judging panel of Carrie Ann Inaba, Julianne Hough, Len Goodman and Bruno Toniolo gave the dancing couple a score of 27 out of 40.

Chris was cheered on his fiancee Whitney Bischoff, 29, who he proposed to at the end of season 19 of The Bachelor.

Witney and Chris were among the bottom two on Monday but they survived after Suzanne Somers and her pro partner Tony Dovolani were eliminated.
