The Robertson ladies looked fab on the night: Korie wore a floor-length flamenco-style lacy black gown, while her daughter Sadie was stunning in a trailing emerald green silk frock.

The Robertson men even scrubbed up for the event: Willie wore a silver lined tux with flame embossed red and black boots.

Even Uncle Si made the effort to go black tie, wearing a t-shirt with a picture of a suit jacket, shirt and tie on it, to go with his check shirt, jeans and cowboy boots.

They did not shave for the event obviously, and the ever-present bandanas we included in each ensemble, while Si of course brought his own beverage in his beloved green tupperware cup, given to him by his mother when he served in the Vietnam War.

In an interview with Fox News, Willie revealed that watching the show actually reduced him to tears.

'It's emotional at times,' he said. 'I was crying watching it because you just think about if something were to happen differently, then none of this would have happened.'

'The media scrutiny and all this thing we went through, all that's played out in the musical.'

'Some of the characters, man, they've got us down,' he added. 'Not just the way they talk but all their mannerisms, they've really done their job on getting us as lifelike as possible.'

The musical is based on the book The Duck Commander Family: How Faith, Family, and Ducks Built a Dynasty written by Willie and Korie.
