SEBASTIAN SHAKESPEARE: Pregnant Lily looks back on her fruity past

Pregnancy is particularly daunting for a woman who’s made her fortune through her shape, and supermodel Lily Cole is looking back wistfully at her former figure.

The 27-year-old Cambridge graduate, who is expecting her first child with technology entrepreneur Kwame Ferreira, 36, posted a sepia-tinted photograph online of herself sunbathing when younger with her friend and fellow model Katherine Poulton.

‘Katherine and I back in the day,’ Lily says nostalgically.

While her pal wears a polka-dot bikini, sunhat-wearing Lily goes topless. Not that anyone would notice, of course, as the pair have placed cherries in their belly buttons as a cunning distraction.

Rice calls West End truce

Oscar winner Sir Tim Rice fell out with Andrew Lloyd Webber over the composer’s TV talent contest to find the ‘next Jesus’, which he condemned as ‘tacky’, but the warring pair are to bury the hatchet at a lunch tomorrow.

It will be 50 years since Rice, aged 20, wrote to Lloyd Webber, describing himself as a ‘with-it’ lyricist and suggesting they should work together. They went on to become the most successful partnership in modern musicals, with hits including Jesus Christ Superstar and Evita.

‘We’re going to mark it with a lunch together, in a nice room somewhere, maybe with a few pals we’ve worked with over the years,’ Sir Tim tells me. Does this suggest they’re back on good terms? ‘Oh yes,’ the lyricist says. ‘It’s all great, just as long as we don’t work together.’

Will David Cameron find time in his election schedule to bid farewell to Count Joseph Czernin, father of his Old Etonian pal Peter?

The funeral for Czernin, who died aged 90, will be held in Marylebone on Wednesday. As the only son, film producer Peter, 48, inherits his father’s title and some of the £2.6 billion Howard de Walden Estate in London.

He was the PM’s first flatmate in the capital and donated £5,000 to his campaign to become Tory leader. However, their friendship came under strain when he produced The Riot Club, inspired by Cameron’s Oxford drinking society, the Bullingdon.

Meet the new Delevingne

The latest member of the Delevingne clan isn’t even born yet but has already become a star online.

Model Cara’s older sister Chloe is expecting her second child and the news was announced with her first ultrasound scan posted on the internet.

‘Hello,’ wrote Chloe’s property developer husband Edward Grant next to the picture.

Chloe gave birth to their son Atticus ten months ago and his picture was online within days. She was previously wed to Ed’s friend, nightclub impresario Louis Buckworth, but the marriage lasted just 17 months.

Her family are so infatuated with social media that even Cara’s pet rabbit Cecil has his own account.

As Ross Poldark's feckless cousin and love rival Francis, American Kyle Soller is outshone by hunky Irishman Aidan Turner.

‘Aidan is the secret behind Poldark’s success,’ Kyle admits. ‘He gets his top off and everyone goes crazy. Even a whiff of his chest hair and the ratings soar.’

Poldark’s ‘focus on the class system’ is another attraction. ‘Almost anything with posh people will sell in America,’ he adds.
