Jenson Button's new wife Jessica Michibata reveals 'intimate' Hawaii wedding featured emotional tribute to Formula 1 star's late father

Jenson Button's new wife has revealed their 'intimate' wedding brought guests to tears.

Model Jessica Michibata Button tied the knot with the driver in Hawaii last December and tells HELLO! magazine this week that the Formula 1 driver brought her to tears with their very personal vows.

Jessica, 30, was touched when 35-year-old Jenson paid tribute to his late father during the service, who died nearly a year previously.

Gushing about the big day, Jessica told the magazine: 'It was an incredible day. It was very private and intimate. We wrote our own vows because we wanted to say something that was personal to just the two of us.

'I designed my own dress - something very simple and modest - and I could hear my sisters crying at several points during the service.'

The couple shared a poignant moment in which Jenson spoke about his late father, someone who Jessica admits it's still very hard to live without.

'I did cry a few times,' the model continued. 'But I cried most when Jenson talked about his father. He misses him so much and so do I. I loved him. He was like a father to me and he treated me like his own daughter.'

They met in a bar in Tokyo in 2008 and split briefly in 2011 owing to work commitments but reconciled only six months later.

Newlyweds Jessica and Jenson rung in the new year in Hawaii where they stayed for their honeymoon.

Jessica is currently in training for the London Marathon, which will take place next weekend, but says she's always wary of exercising with her sportsman husband.

She said:' I love to push myself. So does Jenson. We do exercise together but I can't run with him because he's way, way faster than I am. I can't even try to keep up.'

Now that marriage is ticked off the list, a family is the next thing for the Button's. However the couple aren't in any rush, Jessica says.

' I definitely want to be a mum. If I can be half the mother my mum was to me, I'd be very happy.

'But at the moment, I'm still working and travelling with Jenson and it's great, but it's not the best lifestyle for children, so we'll wait a while. I don't feel under pressure to have a baby right away.'
