Karen Allen returned to the spotlight on Sunday at the premiere of her new independent film in New York City.

The 63-year-old Raiders Of The Lost Ark star hit the right note in a black and white blouse, embroidered golden jacket and flared black trousers for the screening of Bad Hurt during the Tribeca Film Festival.

Karen has a starring role in the drama about a family in the Staten Island borough of New York City as they cope with a son suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after returning from war and a daughter with special needs.

The indie film also stars Theo Rossi, 39, best known for portraying Juan Carlos 'Juice' Ortiz on the FX series Sons Of Anarchy.

Bad Hurt was the first film to be produced by Theo's production company Dos Dudes Pictures.

The drama also stars Michael Harney of Orange Is The New Black and True Detective.

It was directed by Mark Kemble who also co-wrote the script.

Karen attended the premiere along with her son Nicholas Brown who was born in 1990 when she was married to actor 64-year-old actor Kale Browne.

The couple married in 1988 and divorced in 1998.

Karen played Marion Ravenwood in the 1981 blockbuster alongside Harrison Ford and late reprised her role for the 2008 film Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

The actress has dozens of film and TV credits in an acting career that dates back to 1978 but started taking smaller roles after Nick was born.

Karen made her major film debut playing Katy in the 1978 comedy Animal House that also starred the late John Belushi.
