'It's nice to have someone tell you when it's all b******s': Carey Mulligan says husband Marcus Mumford keeps her grounded as she poses for retro WSJ photoshoot
They began dating in 2011 after she watched Mumford & Sons perform in Nashville, tying the knot just one year later.
And Carey Mulligan says the reason her marriage to the folk band's frontman Marcus Mumford works so well is because he keeps her grounded in the superficial world of Hollywood.
The couple shy away from the limelight and are both more focused on their work than courting fame, something Carey admires in her partner.

The phrase is a line from her upcoming film Suffragette, co-starring Helena Bonham Carter and Meryl Streep, that she couldn't get out of her head.
'I sent it to Helena and Sarah [Gavron, Suffragette’s director], and they were like, "Holy s**t! This movie had better be good now",' she joked.
The drama, which focused on the early feminist movement in Britain, is scheduled for release this October.
