Miley Cyrus may have called it quits on her relationship with Patrick Schwarzenegger, but she hasn't let that slow her down.

Instead, the 22-year-old singer turned to her family on Wednesday, as well as making time for a spot of exercise and a visit to a smoke shop.

Toned abs, an outing with her mother, and some very happy Instagram shots were the results - while 21-year-old Patrick was nowhere to be seen.

Exercise seemed to have agreed with the Wrecking Ball singer, if her flat and muscled stomach was any indication.

Miley showed it off while on her way to an exercise class in the Studio City neighbourhood of Los Angeles.

Wearing only a sports bra partially covered up by a black-and-white jacket, Miley's stomach and pierced belly button were clearly visible.

Varsity jackets are no longer reserved for the college tracks, especially when athletic wear is a huge trend this season.

The so called Athleisure trend have celebs rocking their workout wear everywhere they go. Miley donned an Adidas Original varsity jacket with a sports bra and tights while out running errands.

Done: Miley had reportedly been embarrassed after photos surfaced showing Patrick on spring break in the company of other girls

Black leggings and pink-and-blue trainers completed the look for the young pop star while she pulled her hair into a short up-do and with sunglasses perched on her head.

Miley, who is open about her marijuana use, kept the same look later in the day when she and her mother, Tish, went to a smoke shop in Studio City.

Tish may have been more covered-up than her daughter, but she was clearly having a casual day as well in a long-sleeved black T-shirt with loose, grey trousers.

Miley then continued her family-oriented day with a couple of Instagram photos.

In the first, Miley laid happily in her bed, quite possibly getting a kiss from her dog, Mary Jane.

The singer used the caption space to celebrate Earth Day, commenting on how she would like to celebrate the planet and environment.

'Earth day should be celebrated like all these other holidays...Not with everyone giving and getting presents but singing songs REJOICING, being with FAMILY, being filled with GRATITUDE for what we've been given by the world!'

A second Instagram photo turned directly to the theme of family and showed Miley at a table with mother Tish and her siblings, Braison and Noah.

'Braison is toooo tall & handsome to even fit in the damn photo #bestplaceonearth #withmyfambam,' Miley wrote in this caption.

Spending time with loved ones has probably been helpful to Miley after reports surfaced over the weekend that she and Patrick - the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver - had broken up.

'It's not a break. It's done,' a source close to Miley told People on Saturday.

'They're just in two different places in their lives - he's in college and she's focused on her music and career.'

The first signs of trouble may have come when Patrick took a spring break trip to Mexico in March, where he was seen partying with two different girls.
