Will Ashton be back? Punk'd to return to TV screens as the former MTV prank show gets a new home on BET

Punk'd is getting a revival and a new home.

The former MTV hidden camera prank show, created and previously hosted by Ashton Kutcher, is being brought back by BET.

The show, famous for pulling elaborate tricks on celebrities, originally ran from 2003 to 2007, with a single season revival in 2012.

On Thursday it was announced BET, which predominantly targets African Americans, would be retailoring the show to suit its audience, which more than likely means a new black host.

Throughout its previous nine seasons, Kutcher and his fellow hosts managed to Punk dozens of unsuspecting celebs such as Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Hugh Jackman, Drake, Zac Efron, Lindsay Lohan, Elijah Wood and Kanye West.

The prank on Timberlake, the very first broadcast on the show in which the singer comes home to find government agents seizing his home and belongings for unpaid taxes, is still considered one of the best moments in the show's archives, and was listed in Time Magazine's top three Epic Moments in Reality-TV History.

New look: BET said it would re-tailor the show to target its audience - mainly African Americans - which more than likely means a new black host... although as the shows creator, Kutcher will still make a load of money

Meanwhile, 37-year-old Kutcher is dealing with news that very much sounds like the set up for a Punking - his former stepdaughter Rumer Willis used to fancy him

The 26-year-old revealed on Howard Stern's XM radio show this week that she used to have a crush on the handsome star before he married her mom Demi Moore, 52.

Rumer, who is currently winning fans with her performances on Dancing With The Stars, told the radio DJ: 'It was definitely weird at first.'
