Off the market! Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick 'finally sell historic Manhattan townhouse after slashing the price to $19.95m'
The extravagant Manhattan townhouse owned by Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick is finally off the market, after being up for sale for nearly three years.
After the famous couple slashed the asking price of their New York City mansion late last year by over $2m (£1.33m), and following a further wait and change of seller, it seems they have found a buyer.
The five storey, 6800 square foot property has been on the market since 2012, and according to New York Daily News, it is now under contract.

Bargain: Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick have finally sold their Greenwich Village home after having it on the market for around three years - the last known selling prize was a discounted $19.95m
The last reported asking price for the actors' home was $19.95m (£13.2m), although it is not known if this is what it has sold for.
The Sex And The City star's idyllic, expansive now-former house is based in Greenwich Village, and was first touted for $24.995 million in 2012 - according to Zillow.com - after purchasing it a year earlier for $18.995 million.
And in September 2014, they slashed the price by nearly $3 million, setting the price to $22 million.
But it seems it took one further price drop and a change of hands to brokers John Gomes and Fredrik Eklund to attract an interested party, as a contract is now said to be under offer.
Happy sellers: Sarah and Matthew - who have been married since 1997 and have three children together - have had to slash the asking price on their historic, grand townhouse several times over the years
Luxury living: Built in 1846, the historic townhouse is 6800-square-feet and 25 foot in width
Carrie's closet: The home was staged with Sarah Jessica Parker's ideal wardrobe, although she and her family never actually lived in the property
On fire: The property previously cooled off on the market, but perhaps its hand-carved fireplace helped to attract a buyer
The attractive listing showed the property staged with furniture and what appeared to be an intimate look at the fashionisa's wardrobe, and a specially designed shoe rack filled with heels - fitting for a star is best known for playing shoe-obsessed Carrie Bradshaw.
The historic townhouse, built in 1846, includes five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a split-level garden and a double parlour with 12.5-foot ceilings and a 'hand carved' marble fireplace.
There is also dining room in the 25 ft-wide property, with floor-to-ceiling double-paned mahogany windows and all the bells and whistles befitting a wealthy Manhattanite.
The 50-year-old actress and her 53-year-old husband, who have a son James Wilke, aged 12, and five-year-old twins, Marion and Tabitha, reportedly never lived in the home, as it was purchased as an investment.
The family's main residence is reported to be a $3 million townhouse in the West Village neighbourhood.
Room for clothes in the oven: The first Garden Floor has a kitchen stocked with stainless steel appliances that contrast to the warm walnut wood eat-in area and access to the tiered garden
Baths in the city: The townhouse has eight restrooms in total, and the bedrooms on the guest floor have their own bathroom
Meanwhile, busy mum, designer and actress Sarah is returning to her alma mater in a new half-hour comedy called Divorce.
She will executive produce and star in the series as Frances, 'who suddenly begins to reassess her life and her marriage, and finds that making a clean break and a fresh start is harder than she thought,' Deadline.com reported.
HBO revealed to the Huffington Post that the series, which will be filmed in New York City, will tell 'the story of a very, very long divorce.'
No eating out: Carrie Bradshaw was not a fan of cooking, but the spectacular views are a reason to gather around meals
Massive in Manhattan: The property includes five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, gardens and a double parlour with 12.5-foot ceilings and a marble fireplace - seven in total, dining room with floor-to-ceiling double-paned mahogany windows
Moving on: Sarah and Matthew never lived in the house, which they purchased a year before putting it on the market in 2012 for the cheaper price of just over $18m
