'It doesn't destroy your career if you appear nude': Elizabeth Olsen reveals she was inspired by Kate Winslet to go naked on screen... as she poses on the cover of fashion magazine

Elizabeth Olsen says she was inspired to go nude in films because of Kate Winslet and Cate Blanchett.

The Avengers: Age Of Ultron star features in Net-A-Porter's The EDIT and said watching the Oscar-winning actresses' early movies - like Winslet's Holy Smoke - made her feel comfortable shedding her clothes for work.

'I thought to myself, "OK, so it doesn't destroy your career if you appear nude or take risks" because not everyone in my family and group of friends thought it was the best idea to be naked in a movie,' the actress tells the magazine.

Work summer brights like Elizabeth in Emilio Pucci

She may have been in the shadows of her older sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley for many years since they shot to fame in 'Two of a Kind,' but Elizabeth Olsen is now a famous face in her own right.

She's taken after her siblings mind, stepping into acting and it looks as though Elizabeth is a fashionista just like the girls too! Just look at her here posing for Net-a-Porter's The Edit magazine. She stunned with barely-there make-up, showcasing her natural beauty.

The actress worked a variety of designer looks for the magazine, but here in this bright orange ensemble she donned Emilio Pucci's boho top and shorts.

'There are actresses, young and old, who have decided never to do that and they become those examples people talk to you about . . . [But] there are times when I like to do it. You want that voyeuristic quality, but I never feel I have to be nude – and you won't ever see me in a beauty shot in a bikini on a beach. That's a character I will never play.'

The 26-year-old California-born actress appeared nude in Spike Lee's Oldboy remake in 2013 as well as 2011's Martha Marcy May Marlene.

She was covered up for The EDIT's accompanying shoot, wearing SS15's flowing, bohemian-style pieces by Etro, Valentino, Matthew Williamson, Emilio Pucci, Paul & Joe, CeliaB, Anna Sui and Melissa Odabash.

She has rather fashionable older sisters too in the form of Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen.

'My sisters are the most inspiring women to me because of the way they lead their lives,' Elizabeth says.

'They're insanely diligent and they taught me that you can do whatever you want if it's your passion and you work hard at it.'

What she really wants to do is star in a West End play by Martin McDonagh, having found a love fo the stage when performing off-Broadway in 2013.

'When I was doing Romeo & Juliet off-Broadway [in 2013], what I loved most was that while you're up there for those two hours, everything else that happened that day is forgotten about. You're just in the zone.

'[McDonagh] wants British actors for authenticity. I want to do it so badly but maybe I'll have to wait for an American play to come on.'

She's had to make do with box office franchises like Avengers: Age of Ultron, in which she plays Scarlet Witch AKA Wanda Maximoff.

'I've never experienced anything like it in terms of scale,' the actress says. 'We took over several towns in Italy and made them look like they were in the middle of a war. Then we moved the whole set to north London where we took over an old police academy.

'It was just insane: there were real explosions and you could feel the heat of them. And in amidst of it all, a guy in a onesie shooting things. I couldn't even make eye contact with that. It was just too weird.'
