Revealed: The $4.2m apartment Bethenny Frankel bought after ex-husband refused to vacate dream home… and her plans to renovate

  • The Skinnygirl mogul tried unsuccessfully to have her ex Jason Hoppy evicted from their marital home - a $5 million Tribeca loft - after split
  • She has downsized to a smaller property with 2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms in Soho
  • She has called in the same contractors who renovated her dream apartment with Hoppy
  • She also owns a home in the Hamptons, which featured on RHOBH on Monday

Bethenny Frankel recently broke down about her ex-husband Jason Hoppy refusing to leave their pricey Manhattan apartment, saying: 'I'm the richest homeless person in Manhattan right now.'

However, on Tuesday's episode of Real Housewives of New York the 44-year-old seemed to be rectifying that situation, as she revealed her new $4.2million Soho apartment.

She was seen doing a walk-through with her flustered contractor, as she quickly described all of the many renovations she had in mind.

'I have a new apartment, and there are decisions to be made, there's a ton of work to do, and I need to be able to bust my contractor's nuts,' she said, of her laundry list of renovations.

The 2,392 square-foot, doorman-guarded apartment has 2 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and a sunken living room with 14-foot ceilings, as well as a large wood-burning fireplace.

Residents also get to enjoy a landscaped rooftop deck.

The Skinnygirl founder brought along her designer, Aaron Kirsten, as she argued with the contractor over costs in addition to the myriad of changes she'd like to make.

The contractor rattled off a series of issues he needed to handle, such as finishing the electric, going slab shopping, and having Bethenny choose a new tub for one of the bathrooms.

As he described the list of tasks, the camera panned to an un-paneled section of the apartment's ceiling, revealing open wiring.

'I worked with Steve Fanuka on my Tribeca apartment,' she said. 'He's totally nuts, but he executes. And I need fast and furious right now.'

Confrontation: Stephen seemed a bit put out by all of Bethenny's demands, but later joked: 'It's going to be fun. I think we'll all survive'

The trio first ventured into one of the bathrooms, which Bethenny explained she'd like to be redone so that it is all white - including cabinetry - and in which she was also changing the tub, counter top, and fixtures.

She then took the guys into the kitchen, where 'the real changes happen,' and said she wanted it to be all-white, with the tile behind the sink replaced with marble.

'I want a family home, where we can create memories together, where we can play house, play doll house,' the mother-of-one shared.

Earlier in the episode the published author had showed off her Hamptons house as she invited her Real Housewives co-stars over for brunch.

Guests remarked how 'pretty' the home was as they arrived, particularly sharing favor over the home's contrasting red door.

They showered Bethenny with compliments once they were welcomed inside, and viewed the perfectly coordinated furnishings of the living room, calling it 'wonderful,' 'great,' and 'cute.'

In January Bethenny asked a judge to evict her estranged husband from the Manhattan home they still shared.

The 3,400 sq ft Tribeca loft was a source of consternation, with both sides refusing to give it up, but reality star formally asked for her husband to be thrown out.

Bethenny had initially allowed him to stay in the $5 million property to allow him to be close to their daughter Bryn after she filed for divorce in 2013.

In the premiere episode of Real Housewives Of New York, which aired on April 7, the businesswoman lamented 'I'm totally without a home for over two years. And he lives in the apartment that I worked my whole life to buy. It just doesn't make any sense.'

Her dream fifth-floor home boasted four bedrooms, 16 windows, a maid's room and a huge kitchen perfect for entertaining and whipping up Skinnygirl cocktails.
