'We're going to talk to the creators': Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen discuss Full House reboot and hint they might even sign on

The Full House reboot is officially a go and wouldn't it be nice if Michelle Tanner - everybody's favourite kid - was there too.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, 28, fueled hope that they might make an appearance on Netflix's one-hour reunion special and perhaps even the 12 episode spin-off entitled Fuller House in a new interview with Women's Wear Daily.

'We just found out about it today,' Mary-Kate told WWD, adding: 'I guess we're going to talk to the creators and see what's happening.'

Ashley then volunteered that she will consult with her TV dad Bob Saget before they make the final commitment.

'I ran into Bob the other day and we didn’t even talk about it,' Ashley said. 'I'm going to call (him) and get his perspective.'

The Olsen twins literally grew up in front of TV audiences after they joined the sitcom as infant Michelle Tanner when they were just nine months old and still in diapers.

At the age of six, Mary-Kate and Ashley began starring in television, film and video projects, their blonde and blue-eyed faces appearing on everything from dolls and posters to fragrances and make-up until they were well into their teens.

Although the designing sisters haven't acted since 2011, they might make an exception for the family series that ran for eight years and launched them to stardom worth a combined $300 million.

Candace Cameron Bure (D.J. Tanner), Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner) and Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler) have already signed on for the reboot.

'I don't know about the twins, but it would be great if one of them came back... I'm not holding my breath,' Candace told Us Weekly at a Dancing With The Stars 10th anniversary bash in LA on Tuesday.

'I'm not sure if they're going to do it, but we really only need one,' the 39-year-old married mother-of-three said.

'The premise is that D.J. - she was married, she's widowed now - but she has two boys that are 12 and seven,' Candace told Us Weekly.

'She's pregnant with her third [and] her husband passed away, just like the original show - the mom passed away. So she needs help so she asks her sister and her best friend, Kimmy and Stephanie, to come help her raise her boys.

Candace gushed that she is 'extremely excited,' adding: 'This is something we've all been working on for quite a while. I know the fans really want it. So we're excited to give them a great new show.'

Jodie Sweetin, 33, told EW: 'Now that it’s actually happening, it’s almost too good to be true. To be able to do a series with people I love - who are like family - to play a character I loved so much

and to be able to do that in this point in my life when things are going so well for me and I have a completely different perspective on things… I’m really, incredibly grateful.'

Another burning question is whether Uncle Jesse, played by John Stamos, and Becky, played by Lori Loughlin, will reunite on the show as well. After all, there was plenty of chemistry both on AND off the TV screen.

Stamos even confessed to Huffpost Live in 2013 that he and co-star Lori Loughlin 'actually did date.'

'We went on a date to Disneyland before we were both married. In real life, when we were 18, 19 years old,' John said. 'No disrespect to her family and her husband now, I would say that she could

be the one that got away. She's one of my dearest friends, and that's good enough. I really do adore her.'
