But, finally, after months of speculation, it seems that former X Factor contestants Stevi Ritchie and Chloe Jasmine have confirmed that they're an item.

The pair were seen sharing a very public display of affection in central London on Thursday.

Caught embracing in the capital's Holborn district, they certainly appeared to be more than just friends - as they looked into each other's eyes.

Wearing a coral-coloured, long-line jacket with a pleated skirt, Chloe had evidently made an effort for their romantically-themed day-out.

Meanwhile, Stevi opted for a leather jacket and black jeans - which was rather unseasonal given the city's hot weather.

The sighting comes months after 34-year-old Stevi famously had a fling with the posh beauty while they were competing on the ITV show, leading Chloe to be dumped by her then-boyfriend, Craig Wiffen.

'I'm not ashamed of what I did,' she said at the time. 'Because I believe it was part of God's divine plan. It probably didn't help that I didn't tell Craig straight away, but I didn't really have a chance to.'

The singer went on to tell MailOnline: 'It's always upsetting to break up with someone - But I'm ok now. I had only known Craig for a few months, it's not like we had been together for years.'

Stevi, from Essex, was working in a call centre before finding fame in X Factor, but now he plans to pursue a singing career full-time to provide for his seven-year-old daughter Summer.

The 34 year-old previously claimed that he reached 'sixth base' with 24-year-old Chloe shortly before she was eliminated from the competition in October.
