She acts like she has the confidence of Queen Bey when starring on her hit Fox comedy, The Mindy Project.

And Mindy Kaling sure brought out her sexy side on Wednesday, showing off her fierce strut as she took on New York City.

The 35-year-old entertainer stood out in a vivid fuchsia dress while stepping out with her good friend and colleague, B.J. Novak.

The comedian's mod-inspired frock featured subtle peplum details and perfectly matched with her studded Valentino heels.

Mindy layered her bold dress over a coordinating, collared patterned blouse and under a sleek black trench coat.

The actress/writer/producer seemed to know she looked suave, showing off her winning smile as she strutted down the sidewalk.

The beauty's luscious ombre locks were flowing straight, as her eyes were concealed with tortoiseshell shades.

Mindy completed her city chic look with a plum slick, studded earrings, and black handbag.

Meanwhile, B.J. (Benjamin Joseph) dressed down in comparison, sporting a chambray blouse, denim blazer, and jeans.

The Office star pulled his pieces together with a black leather belt and well-worn brown shoes while also concealing his eyes with jet black sunglasses.

Just a day ago, Mindy shared a snap of the two dining at an American-Mediterranean bistro in NYC.

The besties previously dated, and B.J. has also played a guest role on The Mindy Project, in which Mindy is a star and creator.

Mindy's days have also been consumed with working on her latest book, Why Not Me?, which is getting closer to hitting the shelves.
