Gina Rodriguez shot to stardom as the leading lady in hit show Jane The Virgin, winning a surprise Golden Globe for her performance.

And the 30-year-old actress has been gushing about her breakout role as she promotes the comedy series in New York, stepping out on Wednesday to do more press.

Gina revealed earlier in the week, during an interview with HuffPost Live, that it's her boyfriend, Revenge alum Henri Esteve, who keeps her grounded.

'He probably said no to me about something this morning,' the brunette beauty teased about her beau, whom she's dated for about a year.

In March, Gina told E! News of Henri: 'I just know that I have a very strong [and] supportive boyfriend. He's an amazing artist himself who respects the craft...

'He supports me and I think that's all that matters. We're very honest and there's a lot of communication. He knows that my priority is Jane and him and family.'

When speaking to HuffPost Live, she also discussed becoming more selective in her acting roles and developing the courage to stand up for herself.

'I think I've discovered the kind of woman that I want to be amidst this beautiful blessing — [it's] craziness,' Gina said.

'I think in this industry we get to a point in our careers, which I definitely did not have before Jane, where people are willing to do a lot more and willing to say "yes" when maybe they should be saying "no."
