Mourinho dismisses talk of leaving Italy and commits his future to Inter

Jose Mourinho has committed his future to Inter Milan, albeit by referring to himself, somewhat bizarrely, in the third person.

The Inter boss saw his team crash out of the Champions League in the first knock-out round at the hands of Manchester United earlier this month, but Inter still lead Italy's Serie A by seven points with nine games left to play.

Mourinho said he won't walk away from the club and added: 'I'm not one who works to get results in the short-term, I won with Chelsea as soon as I got there and I hope it will happen again here at Inter.

Staying put: Mourinho has committed his future to Inter Milan

'Everybody is talking about Mourinho leaving Inter, why don’t they say that Mourinho will stay here for four or five years?

'I am not a self-centred coach,' Mourinho told La Gazzetta dello Sport, 'I am working for the future of Inter.'

Despite stressing his commitment to Inter Milan, the former Chelsea boss had a few words of advice for his new employers.

Inter's Davide Santon

Impressing the boss: Inter's Davide Santon

'First of all, Inter need to improve their working conditions, starting with the Pinetina (Inter's training ground),' he said. 'We have to change the training facilities to enable the players to give their best.

'As for the team, there has to be more room for improvement. When you have two youngsters like (Mario) Balotelli and (Davide) Santon, you can't get complacent.

'You must try and have four or five youngsters like them next year. This club needs to change its approach and make plans for the future.

'But I can't work with 29 players any longer. We will have to sell.'
