Geovanni set for £1m Trabzonspor deal as Hull start cutting £40m wage bill

Hull City are set to offload Geovanni to Turkish club Trabzonspor for £1million as they try and slash their £40m wage bill.

The 30-year-old Brazilian is one of the highest earnest at the club, who will hold a fire-sale this summer as they try and balance their books.

Geovanni has just one-year left on his present deal and is unlikely to be offered a new deal.

Hull will begin next season in the Championship after their relegation from the Premier League was confirmed on Monday with a 2-2 draw at Wigan.
