With her wavy red locks resting on her shoulders, the star kept her accessories to a minimum, while she drew her make-up from the natural end of the palette.

Her appearance at the annual event, which is the largest gathering of movie theatre owners in the world, came a day after she and her husband, Bart Freundlich, attended the Time 100 gala.

The star made a spectacular appearance clad in a sparkling black dress at the event, where she was among the night's honorees.

Making quite the attractive accessory on her arm was her 45-year-old director husband who looked fetching in a black suit.

Striking a stylish silhouette, the Far From Heaven actress' gown had an asymmetrical, one-shoulder cut and its bodice draped over the knee-length skirt.

Her simple makeup palette included a glossy pink lip and a smokey eye.

The Boogie Nights star's fiery tresses were styled in waves that cascaded around her shoulders.

Julianne and Bart were an affectionate pair on the red carpet. At 6'2, her handsome man towered over her 5'3 frame.

Ooze vintage glamour in a one shoulder dress

She never fails to impress on the red carpet and at the Time 100 gala in New York, Julianne Moore wowed them once again in a Givenchy gown and ankle strap sandals. The one shoulder gown had a sequin metallic finish and a drapey design that gave it a vintage look.

Designer Riccardo Tisci's Spring collection featured sexy lace-up pieces, gladiator motifs, and second skin thigh-high boots, so it was refeshing to see the 54-year-old take a different approach with this sexy and glamorous choice.

The custom frock is unavailable but you can still steal Julianne's style with one of the picks below. The Aidan Mattox stunner has the same tiered silhouette and it's less than $100.

It's about Time! (L-R) Keith Lieberthal, Julianna Marguelies, Julianne Moore and Bart Freundlich celebrated at the star-studded gala that honored the most 100 influential people of the year

At the star-studded Time 100 soiree she was joined by a mouthwatering roster of boldface names like Bradley Cooper, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, and Amy Schumer - all of whom were recognized by the magazine as among the '100 most influential people' of the year.

In a heartfelt letter of praise published in the Time 100 issue, Julianne's friend Tom Ford called her 'fearless.'

He added: 'Beautiful, elegant, smart, loyal and steadfast can be used to describe her too.'

The fashion designer, who directed Julianne in 2009's A Single Man, opposite Colin Firth, continued: 'Julianne’s character off set is just as magnetic as her onscreen presence. She has an inner beauty that will never fade.

'She is down to earth and real. For my 50th birthday we went white-water rafting in Idaho, where we had no baths or toilets for five days. She seemed just as comfortable in the wilderness, stripped of the trappings of stardom, as she is in front of the camera.

'Julianne is one of the greatest actresses working today, but she’s also a wonderful human being. I am honored to call her my friend.'
