Wenger will also have to fend off interest from Real in his star striker Robin van Persie.

The Dutchman has been in scintillating form this season, scoring a staggering 39 goals.

He is also wanted by Manchester City who are reportedly not willing to pay more than £15milion given that Van Persie's contract expires next summer.
