Guidetti 'dreams' of Lazio switch as City prepare to send starlet out on loan again

Manchester City are set to allow John Guidetti to leave the club on loan again next season as the highly-rated striker 'dreams' of joining Italian's Lazio.

The 20-year-old won admirers across Europe last year after hitting 20 goals in 23 league games in Holland on loan at Feyenoord.

The Barclays Premier League champions have earmarked a big future for Sweden star Guidetti but the forward has warned them he does not want to stay and play reserve team football.

Mega-rich City don't need to sell him so another loan move for next season could be on the cards with Guidetti keen on a switch to Serie A.

'I cannot hide, I have spoken with Lazio about Guidetti because several Italian and European clubs like him,' Guidetti's agent Roberto De Fanti told cittaceleste.it.

'He is the best under-21 striker in Europe, he played well in a league where champions like (Ruud) Van Nistelrooy and (Marco) Van Basten found their limelight.

'If Lazio does not complete the signing of (Trabzonspor striker, Burak) Yilmaz, I think it could open a door for Guidetti.

'He wants to continue his growth process, in a club where he could play with continuity, even behind someone like (Miroslav) Klose with whom he could only improve.

'There would be every reason to talk about this negotiation. Guidetti dreams of Italy.'
