Andy Garcia looked less Oscar-nominee and more poorly-dressed vacationer as he hit the pool at his Miami hotel on Thursday.

The hirsute 57-year-old displayed a slightly rounded belly in his pale blue and white Hawaiian printed board shorts, which did him no favours and would have perhaps been better suited to someone younger.

The star was enjoying some much-needed downtime from his jam-packed schedule, before walking the red carpet for the world premiere of his new animated movie Rio 2 on Friday night.

The evening looks set to be quite the celebration, with events including a Guinness World Record attempt for the largest samba party, a gala concert and the Goodyear blimp offering a bird's eye view during the festivities.

Andy and his co-star Jamie Foxx are also set to be honoured as the inaugural inductees of the city's Walk Of Fame, with a special induction ceremony taking place during proceedings.

The married father-of-four appeared relaxed and happy as he soaked up the sun from his cabana.

In full holiday mode: The Oscar-nominee - who turns 58 on April 12 - donned a pair of pale blue and white Hawaiian board shorts, along with his ever-present collection of silver and black necklaces, while he wore a pair of dark sunglasses to protect his eyes from the glare

He was wearing his ever-present collection of necklaces - ranging from a silver cross on a matching chain to a black beaded necklace and a silver circle pendant on a black leather necklace.

Dark-tinted sunglasses completed his look, while his floppy chestnut mane was worn in a shaggy, unkempt 'do.

After having a chat on his cell phone, the Ocean's Eleven star tucked into a hearty serving of soft-shell tacos, accompanied by a young male family member.

Having worked pretty consistently since 1983, the star isn't showing any signs of slowing down just yet, despite his 58th birthday being just around the corner - on April 12.

He has two new projects also set for release this year - Let's Be Cops, alongside Nina Dobrev, Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr, which will premiere on August 13, and Kill The Messenger, with Jeremy Renner, Ray Liotta and Michael Sheen, set for release on October 10.

What About Love, co-starring Sharon Stone, will hit screens in early 2015, while it's just been announced that he'll team up with Sir Anthony Hopkins and Annette Bening in Hemingway & Fuentes, which is yet to receive a release date.

He was gorgeous in his day. It's sad to see the ravages of time! It comes to us all but some age better than others! I don't think he cares though he looks relaxed enough. A haircut might make a bit of an improvement though. Long hair at his age isn't flattering!!
