Beware of Mother Monster! Lady Gaga 'wants woman who failed to sue her for plagiarism to foot $1.4m legal bill'

In June, Lady Gaga won a case in which she was accused of plagiarizing another singer's work on her hit single Judas.

And in court documents obtained by TMZ, the 28-year-old megastar is striving to get her accuser, Chicago musician Rebecca Francescatti, to foot her lawyer's bill.

The Born This Way hitmaker paid $1.4 million to her lawyers, asserting that she spent three years and a fortune defending her reputation.

In 2011, Francescatti accused Gaga of ripping off her 1999 song, Juda.

Earlier this year, the plagiarism case was dismissed by U.S. District Judge Marvin E. Aspen, who concluded that the two songs are not ‘substantially similar.’

The judge ruled that there was no similarity between the songs based on ‘qualitatively important elements’ or ‘a unique combination of elements.’

And their similar titles and four similar 16th notes ‘are not sufficient to give rise to a finding that the Gaga Song has captured the total concept and feel of the Francescatti Song.’

Meanwhile, Gaga is embarked upon her artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball tour – currently winding her way through Europe.

The G.U.Y. hitmaker performed in Herning, Denmark on Saturday and is set to perform in Oslo, Norway on Monday.
