Derby defender Jay McEveley set for loan switch to Championship rivals Preston
Preston will sign Derby left back Jay McEveley on loan from Derby.
North End boss Alan Irvine moved quickly to bolster his squad after losing Michael Hart to an ankle injury and Callum Davidson to suspension in his side's 3-1 defeat at Burnley on Saturday.
McEveley has fallen out of favour with Paul Jewell at Derby but he is expected to make his Preston debut against Swansea at Deepdale on Tuesday night.
